Polysulphate® multi-nutrient sulphate fertiliser

Mined in the UK in its natural crystal state (polyhalite), Polysulphate contains four nutrients: sulfur (S), potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), and calcium (Ca).

Being a natural crystal, Polysulphate has a unique dissolution pattern that releases nutrients gradually after application. This prolonged availability reduces the chance of nutrient losses while also matching the uptake requirements of crops.

Polysulphate stands out as an eco-friendly choice for farmers due to its natural composition and exceptionally low carbon footprint. Polysulphate sets the standard in environmental sustainability among fertilizers, with Polysulphate Standard, Granular, and Mini having the lowest carbon footprint (compared to similar products) of just 0.034 kilograms of CO2 equivalent per kilogram of product.

Polysulphate is suitable for organic farming systems and is approved for organic use by certification agencies around the world, including Ecocert, Ceres, and OMRI.

Granular Polysulphate

Polysulphate® is a multi-nutrient, natural fertiliser mined exclusively by ICL in the UK. It provides four plant nutrients – sulphur, potassium, magnesium, and calcium that contribute to optimum plant performance.

ICL PotashpluS™ is a granular fertiliser specially formulated using a combination of potash (MOP) and Polysulphate. PotashpluS is a potassium and sulphate fertiliser that also contains magnesium and calcium. PotashpluS supplies your crop with four essential nutrients in one single fertiliser application and inside each granule. The product can be spread accurately u to 36m with a uniform distribution of nutrients across the field to save time and cost. All nutrients are in sulphate form.

Polysulphate is produced from a natural mineral called polyhalite, which is an evaporite mineral, a hydrated sulphate of sulphur, potassium, calcium and magnesium.

It is mined from the Polyhalite layer of rock, over 1000m below the North Sea, off the North Yorkshire coast. Polyhalite undergoes a simple process of crushing and screening and is then marketed as Polysulphate.

Polysulphate is available in its natural form. Preparing it for the market as Polysulphate involves no chemical separation or other industrial processes – it’s completely natural, organic and sustainable. Polysulphate has been approved by many global and national bodies for organic use.

Polysulphate dissolves steadily in the soil solution, thus having all nutrients available for plant uptake during the growth period. Being a natural crystal, it has a unique dissolution pattern, which releases its nutrients gradually after being applied to the soil. The prolonged release characteristic of Polysulphate means that as the four nutrients it contains are released, and they provide a continuing continuous, fresh source to the growing crop. This pattern matches the uptake timing of nutrients by the crops and minimises the risk of loss of sulphate by leaching.
